Design of a temporary exhibition inside the Grade 1 listed fortification; Bastion 6. The WW1 Remembrance Centre has been running for a few years, and has had to recently move to their new site due to not having enough space to accommodate all artefacts they have grown to hold. As well as creating a temporary exhibition for the WW1 Remembrance Centre, the design as has to create spaces that will be temporary, such as including a staff office, cafe, toilets and extra storage.
The design of the temporary exhibition is based on The Allied Fairy Book. Written in 1914 it contains a fairy tale from each Allied Nation of the first world war. It is then also beautifully illustrated by famous British illustrator: Arthur Rackham.
This project was really fun to be a part of, and it was especially exciting because I had a set site, and a client I had to please with the overall design.
