In September of 2021 I decided to open an Etsy shop.
I had began to rekindle my love of knitting over lockdown, and had been knitting stuffed animals for myself and friends and family. I began to ran out of room in my flat, and family members to give my creations away to, so decided to launch a shop!
I designed a logo and brand for my Etsy Shop, In Stitches and began to promote this on social media to a wider audience.
After a few days, and no luck in drawing in any sales I took to an Etsy sellers Facebook page for advice. Here I was able to learn a lot about why my product was perhaps not selling (pictures don't do it justice, only one item available, no mention of sizing, etc). It was here that CE and UKCA regulations were also brought to my attention.
