Artefact 1 of my recent History module was all about learning how to research and cite information based on 4 objectives: a building, a quote, an object and an article.
The topic of the history for second year was all about the Victorian era and mid 20th century. Artefact 1 was only surrounding the Victorian era, so the four objectives were around this particular time. More specifically, objective 2, 3 and 4 look closely at both the introduction of the department store or the 1851 Great Exhibition, which were two thing we looked closely at, alongside the thought of modernity.
Below show the four research pages from my project.
The following artefact (2) of the project will not be commencing to the Covid-19 pandemic, and the unavailability of the university library, thus meaning it may be hard to find sources. The artefact was to be a 2,000 word essay about a building, interior space or object of the 20th century, while considering the difference between aesthetics of Victorian and modern design, and while also still considering modernity and individuality.
